An illustration for a randomly assigned opinion piece.
The op-ed I was assigned was called 'The power of radio to comfort and connect during troubled times' written by Sophie Weiner and published in The Age in August 2021.
The aim in this piece is to portray the themes and messages covered in the article visually. The main point highlighted by the article, that I intend to portray in this illustration, is the chaos, heartbreak, and hopelessness of a time such as this being drowned out by the comfort of community radio.
