Mythic Toys

Brief
Create a sensory, limited edition collectible. Create a multi sensory package design, and a themed miniature mythical creature figurine. The figurine is handcrafted to create a model to work from. The package must be able to hold two small blocks of polymer clay and the collectible figurine. The packaging needs to function in a real setting, branding, barcodes, warnings, and instructions should all be included.

Solution
I chose the theme of seasons to create my collectible so there would be four editions. For this project I focused on the Winter edition. The visual graphics are bold and simple, keeping most of the decoration within a simple colour palette. The typography is a quirky, lively typeface alongside my own hand lettering. The package has multiple textures and visual effects, using holographic fabric to line the box for both a visual effect and a physical texture. The box folds out to reveal a mini box containing the clay.
